Amateur Radio in Draper

The Draper Ham Radio Association (DHRA) is a volunteer organization of licensed amateur radio operators with a goal of practicing and training to serve the residents of Draper with amateur radio communications in the event of a disaster, when other communications may fail. This organization also collaborates with and augments the Draper City District Representatives program for Emergency Communications (Ordinance 905).

The DHRA operates and maintains the Draper repeater, 447.100-, with a tone of 100 hz, that is housed at UFA Firestation #122, at 14903 South Deer Ridge Drive, Draper, UT, located in the SunCrest development in Traverse Mountain.


The Draper Ham Radio Association holds a directed weekly public safety net on Thursday evenings at 8:30pm at 447.100- (tone of 100 hz), except for the 4th Thursday of the month when the monthly face-to-face meeting is held at 7:00 pm at the LDS Eastridge Stake Center (Relief Society room), 1187 East Draper Parkway, across from Fresh Market in Draper.

Interested persons may include any members of the following: other interested municipalities, block captains, communications specialists, neighborhood watch groups, RACES, ARES, ERC, any radio club, government employees, non-affiliated amateur stations, etc.

Emergency Preparedness Committee

Draper City has an Emergency Preparedness Committee that meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:00 pm, Draper City Hall, 1020 E. Pioneer Road (12400 South), Administrative Conference Room.
